Music for a Prussian Salon - YORK

  • National centre for early music (map)

As part of the University of York’s Baroque+ Day ‘100 Years in Berlin’, we revisit music from our 2016 CD Music for a Prussian Salon. We explore the life and legacy of the Berlin court clarinettist and composer Franz Tausch whose music was a melting pot of changing musical styles at the end of the Classical period.

Programme to include music by Tausch, Johann and Carl Stamitz, and their contemporaries.
